OverviewThis position reports to the Head of Social & Content or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s presence across all social media platforms. This involves creating and scheduling dynamic content, engaging with followers, analyzing performance data, and staying up-to-date on social media trends. The position also supports developing social media strategies and campaigns to increase audience engagement and reach.
Responsibilities- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Content Creation & Scheduling – Develop engaging content (text, images, videos) and schedule posts across all team social media platforms.
- Planning – Create weekly social media plans to cover all channels and ideate requirements from the content and creative team with sufficient briefs.
- Community Engagement – Respond to comments, messages and feedback from followers, fostering a positive and interactive online community.
- Performance Analysis – Monitor key metrics like engagement, reach and follower growth to assess the effectiveness of social media efforts.
- Strategy Development – Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with brand and marketing objectives.
- Trend Monitoring – Stay informed about the latest social media trends, platform updates and best practices.
- Reporting – Generate reports on social media performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Build Relationships – Develop relationships with social media influencers and other relevant partners to amplify reach and engagement.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Social & Content or their designee.
- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience, at least 2-3 years, in social media management, content creation, or communications and marketing is required – preferably within motorsports or a sports-based platform.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Social media savvy – familiarity with various social media platforms, their features, and best practices.
- Content creation skills – ability to create compelling content in a variety of formats.
- Analytical skills – ability to interpret social media data and draw insights to improve.
- Organizational skills – ability to manage multiple social media channels, schedule posts and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task on planning and execution of creative projects.
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
- A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
- A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and applications.
- Familiarity with standard content creation tools – hardware / software etc.
- Ability to use various content editing software (Adobe platforms etc.).
- Working knowledge of content management systems.
- Working knowledge of social media analytic platforms.
