The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of injection moulding machines and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Support machine changeovers, tool changes and continuous improvement activity
- Maintain ancillary equipment including robots, dryers, conveyors and chillers
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately
- Apprentice-trained or time-served Maintenance Engineer
- Proven experience working on injection moulding machines
- Multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Proactive, flexible and a strong team player
