General SummaryThis position reports to Heritage Lead Mechanic or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for the assembly, servicing and repair of the teams Race Cars, Heritage Cars, Show Cars, associated parts, and pit equipment. Expected to attend all Heritage Car associated events.
Key Responsibilities- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Responsible for the build, condition, and maintenance of all Sub Assembly related items on the Heritage cars.
- Mentor, train, and guide personnel as required. Develop staff and department processes to enable efficient workflow.
- Required to demonstrate a company focused attitude to organize and guide your team whilst keeping moral high under difficult circumstances or tight deadlines.
- Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out of the ordinary tasks.
- Responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your work area
- Following Engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by the Haas F1 Team pertaining to assembly, operation, and safet
- Accountable for the build. condition and maintenance of sub assembled components ensuring that they are consistently built to the highest standards and correct build specifications.
- Responsible for the assembly of the teams Heritage cars to correct specifications and allocations.
- Responsible for the allocation and service life tracking of sub assembled parts to Heritage cars staying aligned with the RTS Chief Mechanic and current car allocations.
- Management of stock levels of components, spares, and consumables, working closely between Race Team and Race Team Support to ensure minimum trackside quantities are always met.
- Align with the Heritage Lead Mechanic, to make sure all relevant specs of sub assembly components are packed or built in readiness for Heritage events.
- Accountable for the parts, spare parts, tooling, garage equipment and other operational equipment associated with Heritage projects and ensuring all equipment is readily available and packed to support relevant events.
- Work closely with the Design Office and Reliability Engineers on Faults to ensure all actions/remedies are in place and to offer solutions/fixes or plans to ensure there are no repeat occurrences.
- Have a good understanding of all car parts, process, and procedures.
- Follow Lifing and UIIL requirements to ensure full compliance is met in line with the regulations and team’s expectations – this includes having the Heritage Car’s built correctly on to relevant lifing systems.
- Assist and support chosen departments to facilitate Turnarounds, Engineering Projects, Car Builds and Event Support.
- Assist in the planning and managing of any rig testing throughout the season such as K&C or 7 Post.
- Ensure the teams Show Cars and Race Bay presentation meets cooperate branding guidelines and expectations.
- Expected to undertake NDT training and certification to be able to support on event if required.
