Rehabilitation Engineering Technician

Overview

We are looking for applicants with good mechanical workshop skills and a positive, flexible attitude to join our team. The Rehabilitation Engineering Department provides technical support to the Oxfordshire Wheelchair service and the Specialist Disability Service at the Oxford Centre for Enablement. We are an established manufacturer of custom contour seating and a specialist provider of mobile arm supports, applying engineering principles and technology to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.

• Manufacture custom contour seating and wheelchair accessories in milled foam and Lynx sheet, working from engineers' drawings or instructions.
• Provide support to Rehabilitation Engineers and set up equipment.
• Manufacture parts and components for stock as requested and maintain local component stock.
• Participate in training on specific processes and manufacturing techniques.

• Good mechanical workshop skills.
• Positive, flexible attitude and ability to use tools.
• Aptitude for the role; experience in all areas not required.
