General SummaryThis position reports to the Head of Aero Operations or their designee; is located in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of production activities outsourced to suppliers, ensuring full adherence to timelines driven by wind‑tunnel sessions and aerodynamic development objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Ensure that the requirements for the timing and quantities of bought‑out materials are clearly and adequately planned and communicated, so that they can be executed by the Purchasing team. Support the Purchasing team as required if interventions are needed.
- Guarantee suppliers’ compliance with technical requests and quality requirements, intervening in case of deviation.
- Collaborate in a structured and ongoing manner with Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, Design, and Model Shop to optimise operational flows and reduce issues, bottlenecks, and non‑conformities.
- Support the continuous improvement process by contributing to process standardisation and cycle‑time reduction.
- Produce reports to communicate and evaluate results and to share information related to the relevant area of responsibility with other groups.
- Manage purchase order entry and cost control activities, ensuring alignment with the budget.
- Analyse wind tunnel feedback and activate the necessary actions to ensure achievement of the repeatability and quality targets defined with the line manager.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation related to the production of components forming the wind tunnel model.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Aero Operations or their designee.
- A degree in Engineering with specialisation in Aerodynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification is required.
- A minimum of 3 years’ industrial experience, gained in series production and/or in the development of complex, highly technical projects.
- Proven ability to achieve project objectives and independently manage complex activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Have an excellent understanding of English language.
- Strong experience in the management and planning of production processes.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and technical‑operational coordination skills in dynamic environments.
- Strong aptitude for cross‑functional collaboration and alignment with company priorities.
- Excellent understanding of all production phases of a project, including planning, industrialisation, execution, progress tracking, and management of operational issues.
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Quick decision‑making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
