• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting or exceeding safety, quality, on‑time delivery and budget requirements.
• Commission controls systems on‑site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and provide support for system test activities and training for the end user.
• Produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, method statements and risk assessments for automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• Ensure supplied systems are CE compliant with the Machinery Directive.
• Commission safety‑related parts of the controls system solutions in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 and related regulations.

• Maintain the Dematic image as a top‑quality, professional company by adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach.
• Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, providing a high‑quality service.
• Liaise with other company departments, customers and subcontractors.
• Use and maintain Dematic standards wherever possible.
• Comply with company policies.
• Promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time, cost and quality of project delivery.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Confident in automated systems commissioning procedures.
• Experience with PLC and electrical commissioning activities.
• Experience with development software such as Siemens (S7, TIA) or Allen Bradley (RSLogix).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.
• Conversant with SCADA – WinCC, Iconics, Ignition (desirable, not essential).
• Comfortable with industrial networks such as Profinet, Profibus, ASi, Ethernet
  
  IP or similar.
• Understanding of automated warehouses (desirable).
• Ability to understand electrical and electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites up to 80% of the time, domestically and internationally.
• Full driver’s licence to support travel requirements.
