South Central Region Grade 3 (Support Staff) - £12.85 per hour

Working Hours:

Casual - Zero Hours Contract - hours agreed on a flexible schedule basis, including evenings, weekends, and occasional late shifts up to 11pm.

The Role

Wykham Park Academy & Futures Institute are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Casual Lettings Assistants. The role involves liaising with clients to ensure a professional and enjoyable experience while using our facilities. The main purpose of the role is to open and close the premises for hirers and ensure the safety of all users on site. Working hours (evenings and weekends) may vary depending on the level of bookings.

We are looking for individuals who are proactive, able to work independently, and also thrive as part of a team. Applicants must be 18 years or older due to insurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a designated key holder, responsible for opening and closing the buildings and sports facilities for scheduled hires.
  • Welcome and assist customers hiring school facilities, acting as a visible point of contact.
  • Ensure the security of the school’s buildings and grounds, including use of the security alarm during opening and closing.
  • Operate and maintain basic building equipment/facilities, such as heating systems and windows.
  • Set up or move furniture and equipment as required for bookings and clean/prepare areas for normal use afterward.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the school site through litter picking, sweeping, clearing leaves, emptying rubbish, etc., as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Report any damage or faults to buildings, facilities, and fixtures/fittings.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and users of the school site.
  • Contribute fully to the school’s safeguarding policy and procedures, attending regular safeguarding training.
