Construction Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator

Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently on a rail civils project

Carry out excavation, back filling, grading, and material handling as required

Work closely with the Ganger, Dumper Driver, and ground workers to support site operations

Follow site drawings, levels, and instructions from site supervision

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures

Conduct daily plant checks and report defects or issues immediately

Maintain safe working distances from services, structures, and live infrastructure

Work under the direction of banksmen and comply with all lifting and exclusion zones

Maintain high standards of accuracy, control, and productivity

Assist with trimming, profiling, and preparation of formation and groundworks

Stop works and report hazards, unsafe conditions, or near misses

Maintain good housekeeping around working areas and haul routes

Adapt operations to ground conditions and site constraints

Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and rail project requirements

Support the gang in meeting programme and quality targets
