Accounting Technician

What you'll do

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:

• Process purchase and sales ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform bank and supplier reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Support preparation of management accounts
• Process expenses and assist with payroll administration (if required)
• Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP/accounting system
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
• Assist with VAT returns and audit preparation
• Provide general support across the finance function as required

• Previous experience in an Accounting Technician / Accounts Assistant role
• IATI qualified or working towards (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
• Ability to work well within a small team environment
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Positive, proactive and adaptable approach
