* Job Summary:
** A WWW Storekeeper II assigns and reviews the work of stores and laboring personnel. Work of this class involves leading warehouse staff, but does not involve full supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in a warehouse where there is exposure to cold and heat. Work requires some bending, lifting, pushing and hauling heavy stock items.

** Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate.
** AND

* Experience:
** Have two years of experience in storing and issuing equipment and supplies.
** OR
* *** Equivalency Notes:
** Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
** Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates:
** Some positions in this class may require a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent out-of-state driver's license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management.

*** Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
*** Knowledge of the procedures for receiving, storing and shipping materials and supplies.
* Knowledge of the methods and procedures of taking inventory.
* Ability to operate materials handling equipment.
* Ability to utilize standard business computer software programs and the internet to perform routine research and to enter and maintain inventory and distribution of records.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, City agency personnel and associates.
* Ability to maintain simple stock records.
* Ability to assign and review the work of others.

**** Background Check
** Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
** Probation
* * All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-months.
** Eligibility
* * Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.
** Education Accreditation
