Branch Fleet Technician
The Branch Fleet Technician will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment and hydrovac operation by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary adjustments and alignments. The role requires managing work orders in Fleetio to ensure comprehensive documentation and tracking, and keeping accurate records with guidance. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of diesel equipment, supporting the overall operational success of the organization.
Salary:
Starting at $39.60 per hour, commensurate with education and/or experience.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair assigned vehicles and equipment, performing preventive maintenance such as oil changes and greasing of trucks.
- Conduct safety checks on trucks and maintain a clear line of communication with Branch Manager and Regional Fleet Staff.
- Keep the Hydrovac fleet operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications.
- Occasionally perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established procedures.
- Education:
High School Diploma. - Licensed Heavy Duty Technician.
- Driver’s License required;
Class B CDL license preferred. - Experience with Peterbilt and Western Star chassis a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations, and safety is helpful.
- Experience with troubleshooting Hydrovac equipment a plus.
- Computer literate:
Fleetio, Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel. - Must be able to lift or move objects weighing 25 to 50 lbs regularly.
- Work may require more than 40 hours per week.
- Some knowledge with electronic diagnostics.
- Experience with Peterbilt and Western Star chassis a plus.
- Experience with troubleshooting Hydrovac equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations, and safety is helpful.
- Computer literate with Fleetio, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
- Will be required to provide your own standard tools; all specialty tools will be provided.
