CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver; Commercial Driver's License Class A Flatbed Truck Driver

Overview

McLean Contracting Company is looking for experienced CDL-A Drivers to join our Traffic Division team in the Baltimore, MD region. CDL Drivers are responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, security, inspection, and appearance of tractor trailers and stake body vehicles. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL-A license, a valid TWIC, and 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Operate tractor trailer to transport materials and construction equipment
• Maintain control of the vehicle while backing up, turning corners, and negotiating narrow passageways
• Ensure loads are properly distributed and secured with chains, binders, or straps and within maximum height, width, and weight limitations
• Load and unload truck as necessary
• Operate all types of tractor trailer combinations in a safe manner
• Performs or assists with truck repair
• Perform daily inspection of tractor trailer combination for wear and safety

High school diploma or GED or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work, and be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License. Hazmat endorsement is not required but is a plus. Must be able to pass a Homeland Security background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).

Pay - $18 - $34 per hour
