Shuttle III Driver (CDL Required, Split-Shift M-F) – Johns Hopkins Health System
Position located at Towne Park. Join a hospitality services company that delivers exceptional experiences to patients, visitors and guests. As a Shuttle Driver you will play a key role in ensuring safe, courteous transportation and logistical support for guests.
Job Details- Compensation: $22.25 per hour (actual pay based on qualifications, experience and location)
- Work Schedule: Split shift – 5:30 am–10:30 am and 2:30 pm–7:30 pm, Monday‑Friday (both shifts required)

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and from the hotel, hospital or casino and surrounding areas. Duties include safe, friendly driving, assistance with luggage, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and drive‑line safety requirements.
Essential Functions- Shuttle guests to approved destinations, memorizing pick‑up and drop‑off points (40%)
- Communicate courteously by phone, radio, and in person; greet guests within 30 seconds, using appropriate salutations and last names (20%)
- Inspect vehicle daily (headlights, brakes, tires, interior, etc.) and report issues (20%)
- Protect guest confidentiality per HIPAA; provide assistance with wheelchairs and other accessibility equipment; never offer lifts to guests (20%)
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licensure: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement; valid driver’s license at all times; must pass criminal background, MVR, drug screen, annual MVR checks, medical examiner’s certificate, and DOT endorsements
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience (or 9 years of general driving experience)
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Must complete Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training (as applicable)
- Must possess current medical examiner’s certificate and maintain a bi‑annual physical exam
- Read and write standard English, comprehend instructions, and write simple correspondence
- Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings
- Perform basic arithmetic – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of three‑digit numbers and U.S. currency
- Understand 24‑hour and military time, rate calculations, and time‑based billing
- Regularly talk or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; move up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly
- Work outdoors under varying weather conditions; protection from extreme temperatures may be limited
- Travel up to 5 % of the time
Job is routine; decisions made within department guidelines. The employee has limited control over resources.
