Paratransit Operator serving Baltimore MTA Mobility
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Paratransit Operator to join our elite team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Compensation & BenefitsCBA Position:
Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement
$22.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
Starting pay $22.00 with progression to $22.66 over 1 year.

What you will be doingOperate a transit bus and transport passengers mainly around Baltimore City and Baltimore County, in a safe and courteous manner with occasional trips into the surrounding Counties.
Greet passengers, ensure fare payment, and maintain a safe environment.
Other duties as required.

Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.Passenger Care:
Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.Vehicle Vigilance:
Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.Adherence to Protocols:
Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.Other duties as required
20 years or older
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
A valid driver's license is required for a minimum of 2 years
Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
Must have a satisfactory driving record
Excellent communication & customer service skills
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
The essential functions of this position require the ability to work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 8 - 12 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
Push and pull objects up to 50 - 100 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
