Position: Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL)

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to be carried with the driver at all times while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions, directing them to the facility manager when necessary.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the facility manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
  • Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and the major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items when applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
  • Assist the facility manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience

    Required:

    Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.
  • DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
  • Availability to Work: Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required, depending on the location’s hiring needs.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and employees.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and use U.S. currency units.
  • Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. May be required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Salary Range

$18.00 per hour
