We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Aquatics Director to lead our aquatics department and elevate our programs to new heights.
Job Summary: The Aquatics Director will oversee all aspects of Copper mine's aquatics programs, including swim lessons, competitive swim teams, lifeguard operations, and pool facility management. This role requires a passionate leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and a vision for delivering exceptional aquatics experiences. The Aquatics Director will manage staff, develop programs, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee aquatics programs, including swim lessons, swim teams, water fitness classes, and recreational swim activities. - Staff Supervision:
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatics staff, fostering a positive and professional team environment. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all pool operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Maintain certifications and conduct regular safety audits. - Facility Oversight:
Manage pool maintenance, water quality, and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upkeep. - Member Engagement:
Promote aquatics programs to members and the community, driving participation and satisfaction. Address member inquiries and feedback promptly. - Budget & Administration:
Develop and manage the aquatics department budget, track program revenue, and control expenses. Prepare reports on program performance and facility usage. - Program Innovation:
Create and introduce new aquatics initiatives, such as specialized classes or events, to enhance offerings and attract new participants.
Build relationships with local schools, swim clubs, and community organizations to expand Copper mine's aquatics presence.
