Senior Software Developer CGI

CGI is seeking a senior level full stack developer with proven technical expertise to join its Healthcare Practice. The selected candidate will support Agile Application Development technologies and capabilities in the areas of software development integration and test of software applications and infrastructure.

Candidate will have a good foundation with Java J2EE platform Microservices architecture and documented experience in REST Angular React Typescript Web Content Accessibility/USDS UX HTML5 CSS5 and SQL. Exposure to a broad range of technologies across all layers of architecture is required. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality products is essential.

Location:

Baltimore MD or Fairfax VA office; hybrid working model accepted.

• Full stack development across the back-end client side and UI.
• Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas and technologies, and create innovative solutions.
• Design and develop solutions following established frameworks, application development standards and quality processes.
• Assess impacts on technical design caused by changes in functional requirements.
• Gain knowledge and control of client integration endpoints (live APIs, batch queue based processing).
• Work within a fast‑paced Agile Dev Ops team, collaborating with the scrum team daily.
• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding, sprint items).
• Mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and suggest tools, technologies and best practices to improve stability.

• 5 years of CMS development support experience.
• 8 years of experience in JEE technology stack; full‑stack development including database server‑side, front‑end and CI/CD integration.
• 5 years of experience with Spring MVC/REST/Data/Boot/Cloud Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• 2 years of experience in Microservices development using Spring Boot; understanding of containers, load balancing, distributed cache.
• 5 years of experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• 2 years of web client‑side development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Type Script.
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON.
• Experience with OpenAPI 3.0 and Swagger standards.
• Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment using Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift across multiple environments.
• Experience working with AWS tools and environments.
• Experience with Git, Git Hub, Bit Bucket versioning systems.
• Ability to work with automated unit test frameworks (JUnit, JMeter, Mockito).
• Skilled in benchmarking and performance optimization.
• Excellent conceptual and critical thinking capabilities.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinker and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience using JIRA for requirements management and defect tracking.
• Experience in both waterfall and agile methodology.

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber.
