Development Evaluation Specialist

Do you have experience in human services and want to work for a company that actively improves the lives of the individuals it serves? As the Foster Parent Recruiter, you will develop and implement recruiting strategies to continuously attract and retain new foster parents.

What You’ll Do Clinical Evaluation & Home Study
  • Identify safe, secure, and nurturing host home environments aligned with our mission.
  • Conduct initial home inspections and complete all required in-home interviews with applicants and household members.
  • Perform preliminary evaluations of candidates’ readiness and suitability to serve as Mentor foster parents.
  • Collect required documentation and coordinate background screenings and references.
  • Complete comprehensive Home Study/Psychosocial Narratives with clear recommendation for approval or disqualification.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of all licensing, regulatory, and policy requirements related to Mentor screening and selection.
Candidate Engagement & Pipeline Management
  • Educate, engage, and guide prospective Mentor candidates from initial interest through approval.
  • Maintain consistent contact with applicants and manage a strong pipeline to ensure steady candidate flow.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in pre-service orientation sessions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for candidates through the approval process.
Community Outreach & Collaboration
  • Raise awareness of the needs of children in foster care and generate high-quality inquiries through marketing initiatives and community events.
  • Partner with program operations to ensure an appropriate pool of approved Mentor homes is available for matching.
  • Attend joint meetings and collaborate with operational teams to align home availability with referral needs.
Data & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in required computer systems and CRM platforms.
  • Track applicant progress and contribute to performance metrics and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Social Work or Master’s in Social Work or Counseling;
    Ability to be SAFE Home Study Certified
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle
