Job OverviewWe are seeking a Peer Recovery Training and Support Manager who will support the Agency’s objective to expand the number of certified Peer Recovery Coaches within and outside of our Agency. This positionanser will provide supervision and guidance to the peer support team, fostering a supportive and empowering environment. The work schedule is Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 37.5 hours a week.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and implement training programs for peer recovery specialists, covering topics such as peer support principles, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and self‑care.
- Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and support to peer recovery specialists, ensuring adherence 野 best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and program managers to integrate peer support into comprehensive treatment plans, recovery services, and community outreach efforts.
- العدد the effectiveness of peer recovery programs through data collection and analysis, making recommendations for program improvements.
- Facilitate peer support group meetings and educational workshops for individuals in recovery and their families.
- Maintain documentation and records related to peer support activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between peer support staff, management, and external stakeholders, representing the organization in community partnerships and advocacy efforts.
- Stay informed about developments and best practices in the field of peer support and addiction recovery, attending relevant training and conferences as needed.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new peer recovery specialists, promoting afa diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Represent the agency while working with partnerships or external work groups.
- Manage and direct a work team of 6–9 Peer Recovery Coaches, including recruiting new hires, onboarding new staff, and conducting performance reviews.
- Serve on internal and external work groups and committees as they relate to Peer Recovery initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Substance Use Recovery or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Thorough understanding of addiction recovery principles, trauma‑informed care, and the peer support model.
- Registered Peer Supervisor (RPS) with the State of MD.
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential with the state of MD or CCAR Train the Trainer certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions.
- Acts with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Demonstrates accountability by working independently, requiring minimal direction or supervision.
- Exhibits exceptional planning and organizational skills, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently.
- Applies strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to navigate challenges and make informed decisions.
- Possesses the ability to influence назнач staff and trainees, fostering motivation and teamwork.
- Requires proficiency in the utilization of computer systems and software necessary to perform positive functions, including Windows PC, web browsing, database entry, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
