The ELECTRICAL MAINT MECH I performs maintenance, installation and repair work on electrical equipment, systems and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of electrical technology.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program approved/accepted by local or state government.
• Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
• 4 years related work experience as obtained in an apprenticeship program under the supervision of a Master Electrician.

• Knowledge of electrical techniques, codes, procedures and materials.
• Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
• Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.
