- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment;
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts;
- Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs);
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns;
- Safety checks on vehicles and uphold safety as a priority;
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and repair times;
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports;
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and adhere to safety procedures.
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

- Exert physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing

- Work in both indoor garage/shop and outside conditions including inclement weather, heat and humidity
The hours and location you’ll work in as a Lead Diesel Mechanic with WM:
Monday – Friday, start at 2pm; repair/maintenance shop at our Baltimore, MD hauling site.
The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S./Canada is $35-$42 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate and the specific salary offered may be influenced by factors including experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
