HVAC Supervisor
This position requires comprehensive experience in all phases of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service, operation, and maintenance. The role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment for systems serving a large campus.
Job Description Responsibilities- Install, evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on control systems, equipment, and components for HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot controllers and control system networks with an understanding of electrical diagrams.
- Prepare documentation and control flow charts.
- Monitor and adjust computer-based programs for proper HVAC comfort and energy management control.
- Repair controls for HVAC equipment, install new controls, replace defective controls and accessories, troubleshoot, and test HVAC equipment using controls.
- Monitor work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal code requirements and report back to the supervisor.
- Provide technical assistance to installation sub-contractors.
- Identify, analyze, and diagnose system problems through remote interface means or directly on-site.
- Review all work orders before and after completion.
- Provide mentoring and training to staff members.
- Assist in hiring and training new employees.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions and workshops.
- Monitor both individual and team job performance metrics and inform supervisors of completed and outstanding work orders.
- Schedule, assign responsibility, review, and evaluate the work of assigned staff.
- Demonstrate leadership in evaluating, developing, and motivating employees.
- Assist with other administrative tasks, as required.
- Attend and participate in meetings regarding work to be done and attend training classes.
- Respond to emergency needs 24/7.
- Extensive experience in HVAC troubleshooting and building maintenance.
- Journeyman-level expertise in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.
- Proficiency in monitoring controls, motors, and switch gears.
- Skill in HVAC installation and building repairs.
- High school diploma or GED with the ability to make informed decisions regarding the safe operation of building systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Commercial or industrial experience preferred; residential experience is not applicable.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
