Responsibilities

• Perform heavy physical duties involving asphalt milling and paving.

• Work as a laborer and, over time, specialize as a Screed Person, Lute Person, QC Tech, Tack Truck Driver, Water Truck Driver, or Utility Adjustment person.

• Shovel, rake, lute, jack-hammer, and lift heavy loads (often up to 75 lbs).

• Clean tools and work areas, and perform a variety of tasks requiring fine motor skills and eye‑hand coordination.

• Communicate with crew members and the field manager to ensure safety, teamwork, and completion of daily goals.

• Comply with all safety policies and company procedures.

Physical Demands

• Extensive and heavy physical activity required.

• Must carry heavy loads up to 75 lbs.

• Must work in all weather conditions, stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb, and balance as needed.

Work Environment

• Safety of self and coworkers is paramount.

• Conditions vary by site and weather.

• Work around heavy equipment, loud noises, vibrations, and live traffic on most days. Occasionally work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma is a plus.

• Trade School experience is a plus.

• Penndot Paving QC Technical experience is a plus.

• Top Con or similar grade control experience is a plus.

• CDL (A, B, Tanker, Hazmat) is a plus.

• Tack Truck experience is a plus.

• 2 years of related work experience is a necessity.

• Active, valid driver’s license required.

• Good MVR required.

Benefits

• Competitive wages ($45,000.00–$50,000.00).

• Night and weekend shifts common.

• Overnight stays may be required on occasion.
