Could you be the full‑time Facility Technician in Baltimore we’re looking for?
Responsibilities- Performing preventive maintenance on facility and station equipment
- Managing and documenting tasks using CMMS
- Conducting inspections at stations and facilities
- Providing flagging protection for contracted work parties (CSX Rules training required)
- Maintaining signage at rail stations and facilities
- Performing repairs or replacements of crossings, culverts, sidewalks, and parking lots
- Supporting other tasks necessary for safe and efficient railroad operations
We value passion and attitude over experience. Here are some skills and knowledge that will help you succeed:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical training or equivalent experience in maintenance or construction
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work varied hours, including holidays and weekends
- Strong safety awareness and ability to wear PPE
- Preferred:
Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC - Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long‑term career free from boring daily routines
