Job Title:Locksmith Apprentice
Location: Reisterstown Plaza, Baltimore, MD
Shifts Available: Full Time Day Shift
Advanced Security Safe and Lock is a busy family owned company looking for responsible full – time locksmith apprentice in Baltimore MD. Must be willing to learn all locksmith skills needed to become a professional locksmith technician.
Locksmith apprentice applicants will be trained on various locksmith duties including repairing and servicing residential, commercial, and automotive lock hardware. As well as taught to operate all types of tools and equipment normally used in the locksmith trade including, key machines (automatic, semi-automatic, flat steel, 1200cm code machines, grinder machines), portable machinery (circular saw, jig saw, belt sander, orbital sander, router, lock mortise machine), powered bench and hand tools (such as drills, grinders, compressed air), as well as non-powered hand tools.
Requirements- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Politeness and a helpful attitude is a must
- Ability to pay attention to the needs of customers and management
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure
- Ability to learn all necessary tools and equipment to perform job functions
- Must be able to push/ lift 50lbs or more
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel and reach with hand and arms
- Have manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment
- Ability to work in outdoor temperatures consistent with changing seasons
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Mechanical inclination preferred but not required
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools
- Must be organized and be able to pass background check
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $13.00 to $15.00/hour based on experience but negotiable for the right candidate
Probationary period of 90 days
Our company has been providing locksmith services in Baltimore-Columbia-Towson MD Metro for over a decade. All other services are offered throughout Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan. We have 3 store fronts in Baltimore as well as mobile service in MD & DC.
24 hour locksmith services are available for residential, commercial, and automotive emergencies in Baltimore-Columbia-Towson MD Metropolitan areas.
