Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

Five (5) years experience in a related area and a valid driver’s license

• Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds.
• Hold a working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building construction as it relates to problem solving.
• Accomplished in all forms of carpentry; able to perform basic door, trim, and minor carpentry tasks.
• Significant experience with mechanical HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing systems; able to replace faulty or damaged parts.
• Schedule and oversee routine inspections by outside inspectors when needed.
• Oversee, inspect, and schedule repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, windows, doors, roofs, gutters, etc.
• Familiar with all maintenance tools, power tools and how to safely use them.
• Complete all maintenance assignments, including minor carpentry, painting, and other projects.
• Hold OSHA 10 training as a minimum.
• Maintain landscaping of assigned properties, including cutting grass, killing weeds, trimming shrubs and trees, planting grass seed and trees, and/or oversee this service with a contracted professional landscaper.
• Be familiar with all flooring modalities; able to caulk and repair seams, work with ceramic tile and drop ceiling repairs and replacements.
• Perform all work as required based on OSHA 10 standards of safety.
• Provide repair and replacements at a Journeyman's level of work.
• Keep exterior grounds free and clear of debris, snow, leaves, etc.
• Inspect recreational areas and equipment for maintenance requirements.
• Eliminate safety hazards when possible; report all safety issues to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in a safe, secure work environment; assist and monitor contractors in renovation/building projects.
• Run errands and make trips to obtain necessary equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director when other maintenance projects are not in process.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Master’s Level Mechanical Aptitude.
• Master’s Level Competence in maintenance and construction tasks, processes and basic tools.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; to establish and maintain working relationships with other staff, agencies, the public, and clients.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
