Service Technician

Location: Reisterstown Plaza, Baltimore, MD
Shifts Available: Full Time Day Shift

Advanced Security Safe and Lock is a busy family owned company looking for responsible full – time road service technicians.

Service Technician applicants should be able to perform duties including installing, repairing and servicing various access control systems, hard wired and wireless camera systems, troubleshooting low voltage electrical problems, quoting the work to management to provide estimates, performing the repair, and completing job tickets to account for materials, time, and description of work.

All Service Technicians must have the ability to work independently and with a team in a high-paced working environment. The Service Technician position is a hands-on technical position geared for an individual who has a technical mind-set. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction, restoration, other skilled trades or comparable experience and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.

You must have good customer service skills as you will be working directly with our residential and commercial customers.

• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• Answer all dispatches promptly and maintain politeness, pay attention to the needs of customers and management
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure
• Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform job functions
• Must be able to push/ lift 50lbs or more, Occasional lifting from 51 lbs +, assisted
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel and reach with hand and arms
• Require manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment
• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures consistent with changing seasons up to 7 ½ hrs. per shift
• Properly manage parts usage and inventory as required and/or directed
• Manage and deliver a high-quality customer experience from the service/repair perspective
• Provide our customers with customer support including the servicing/repairing of access control systems, automatic doors, security and camera systems
• Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices a plus
• Be able to accurately inspect window and door products to find root causes of service issue
• Perform service work on various products
• Clean up service site
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Operate company service vehicle in a safe and considerate manner
• Must be able to communicate necessary part orders to management
• Must be able to upsell other products and services
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts
• Must be organized
• Excellent attendance record including reporting to work on time
• Consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism including maintaining a professional appearance
• Ability to climb ladders and tolerate heights
• Able to work in confined spaces

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00/hour based on experience but negotiable for the right candidate
Probationary period of 90 days
