is a privately held company serving the region since 1936. We are looking for a full‑time Commercial Preventive Maintenance Mechanic.

• Assumes responsibility for effectively completing electrical maintenance functions.
• Troubleshoots and repairs heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers, and heat pumps.
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of the malfunction.
• Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and adjusts, cleans and calibrates various systems to ensure proper operations.
• Replaces expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units and other component parts.
• Troubleshoots and repairs direct digital and pneumatic control systems.
• Checks distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperature, pressure, etc.
• Assists in training other technicians and staff in preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Prepares records and reports describing procedures, actions taken and recommended solutions.
• Prepares and submits requests for supplies and equipment.
• Responds to emergency service requests.
• Documents test and inspection dates and results.
• Completes work orders, lists materials issued and used, and documents electrical work repairs.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with area staff and with management.
• Ensures that management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

• High School/GED diploma.
• Knowledge of numbers, operations and interrelationships including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics.
• Basic computer skills such as Microsoft and PM software.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in light commercial preventative maintenance.

• Electrical and wiring fundamentals.
• Cooling and heating technologies.
• Plumbing principles.
• Refrigeration systems (CFC certification preferred).
• Mechanical principles (NAPE 3rd class Training or equivalent preferred).

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information one on one to management and employees.
• Ability to write legibly for form completion.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of English language, including meaning and spelling, grammar rules.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

• Ability to perform essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards/laws.
• Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.
• Ability to comprehend and carry out safety-sensitive duties according to company policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

$30 – $55 per hour depending upon experience.
