The Life Safety (Wall) Maintenance Mechanic 1 performs inspection, repair, installation, and modification work on interior building walls in accordance with Compartmentation guidelines. This work is performed under general supervision using the tools and techniques of life safety technology.
Requirements / Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of formal training in an approved Life Safety program at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
- 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
- Knowledge of approved firestop systems, metal stud framing, drywall, caulking, patching, taping and caulking techniques, procedures and materials.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes and fire codes.

Minimum $24.24/hour – Maximum $28.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
