Location: Baltimore, MD (Field-based)
Abbey Fence & Deck has served the Baltimore metropolitan area for over 70 years, delivering high-quality fencing, decking, and access solutions to residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients across Maryland. Known for craftsmanship and professional service, Abbey operates one of the region's largest facilities and is entering a new phase focused on growth, stronger systems, and long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities- Prospect and develop new commercial clients while responding to inbound bid opportunities
- Visit job sites to assess project scope, understand requirements, and build accurate proposals
- Prepare and submit detailed commercial bids and proposals with precision and professionalism
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial, government, and industrial clients
- Serve as a technical consultant to clients, explaining installation approaches and best-fit solutions
- Accurately calculate project pricing to ensure both competitiveness and profitability
- Manage the customer relationship from first contact through project handoff to operations
- Create your own pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building
- 2 to 5 or more years of proven sales experience, preferably in commercial, construction, or project-based sales
- Strong communication skills and professional presence with business and government clients
- Excellent attention to detail when preparing bids, pricing, and documentation
- Comfortable working independently to generate new business opportunities
- Ability to understand site conditions and translate customer needs into actionable project scopes
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Full-time, W-2 Employment
- Commission-based (10% of sales) with base support during initial training/ramp period. Typical first-year earnings range from $100,000 to $150,000+, depending on performance.

Monday-Friday with flexibility for client site visits and bid deadlines. - Medical insurance
