Press Box, Jmore and County Sports Zone are locally owned media brands with powerful reach and loyal audiences across Maryland. We’re hiring an Account Executive to sell advertising campaigns and sponsorship programs to local and regional businesses.
If you’re someone who enjoys relationship-based selling and wants to sell real marketing solutions (not just “an ad”), this is a great opportunity.
What You’ll Do
· Sell advertising + sponsorship campaigns across our platforms: print, digital display, email newsletters, social media, streaming video/audio (including Glenn Clark Radio), and custom sponsor ships + event programs
· Prospect new business and grow a book of accounts through renewals and upsells
· Create simple, effective campaign proposals that deliver results
· Build strong long-term advertiser relationships (renewal-first mindset)
· Multi-platform packages with print + digital + streaming + email support
· Long-term digital programs
· Premium sponsorship packages tied to major local sports moments like Orioles Opening Day and grass roots programs such as Jmore’sannual Pickleball event.
· Targeted digital campaigns for niche community audiences (example: Jmore digital campaign with monthly reporting and newsletter)
· Campaign-based seasonal programs combining print + digital + newsletters (example: Merriweather seasonal rollout)
· 2+ years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, sponsorship sales, or marketing
· Confident communicator with strong follow-up habits
· Comfortable selling packages that include print + digital + email + sponsorship
· Self-directed and accountable — you can manage your time and pipeline
· Wants a long-term role and the ability to build recurring revenue
· Base salary + commission
· Higher commission rates for growing revenue and bringing in new business

Unlike many sales roles, you’re not selling a “cheap marketing campaign.”
You’re selling multi-platform campaigns and sponsor ships that clients can feel proud to be part of — and that produce real visibility, branding, and community credibility.
