Basic FunctionResponsible for sales growth of Össur bracing & support products. Makes sales presentations to medical professionals within the assigned territory to elicit use of Össur orthopedic products and achieve sales goals. Primary customer contact points include hospital departments where Össur products are utilized (e.g., Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Trauma, Emergency Medicine, Materials Management) and private clinics focused on Orthopedic and O&P offices. Develop and build relationships with clinical decision makers to expand Össur core customer base and product sales market share.
Develop effective sales strategies to achieve sales goals within the designated territory. The designated territory for this position includes Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.
- Attains or exceeds monthly, quarterly and annual territory sales objectives for all products.
- Makes scheduled personalized sales presentations to medical professionals in the assigned territory or to assigned customers to elicit use of Össur products and achieve sales goals.
- Utilizes all available tools to effectively execute the sales plan within the assigned territory and/or customer file, including other sales team resources (e.g. CAM, Specialists), literature and promotional materials.
- Maintains a high level of output according to established productivity standards and uses resources to sustain growth and profitability.
- Develops and executes strategic solutions to grow territory profitably; responds promptly to internal and external customer needs; manages costs and expenses.
- Maintains professional knowledge to overcome objections and implement sales strategies.
- Maintains a professional image and demeanor consistent with Össur standards.
- Works with the local Independent Representative organization and other partner distribution partners to achieve sales goals.
- Maintains and analyzes territory/customer reports and databases to plan priorities and activities.
- Keeps management informed of customer and competitive activity that could impact sales or marketing.
- Submits accurate and timely territory reports, including expenses.
- Uses company funds judiciously to ensure territory profitability.
- Complies with applicable laws and regulations; seeks assistance for potential legal or regulatory issues.
- Maintains confidentiality of company data and proprietary information.
- Participates in required quality trainings per Össur policies (Onboarding, New Employee Orientation, and job-specific Quality training).
- Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting potential hazards.
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a life science or business discipline.
- Minimum three years in direct field sales, preferably in medical products.
- Prior experience selling O&P, Physical Therapy or Orthopedic products is highly desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, task and time management skills.
- Must be able to maintain a rigorous travel schedule; ability to travel 50%.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $66,717 - $98,887 plus benefits and bonus. Ranges are determined by role, level, and location; final pay is based on location and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
