Business Development Manager (Water Infrastructure / East Coast Territory) | Metric Geo

Metric Search is partnering with a leading manufacturer serving the water infrastructure and underground utilities markets. Our client provides engineered solutions used in municipal networks, civil construction projects, and utility upgrades across the U.S. As they continue to expand, they are hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth throughout the East Coast region.

The ideal candidate will build new relationships, expand municipal and engineering partnerships, and manage long‑cycle, consultative sales within the East Coast. This position is remote within the region and involves regular field travel to engage customers, support projects, and identify emerging opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new opportunities across water infrastructure and civil/utility markets
  • Build strong relationships with utilities, engineering firms, and regional construction partners
  • Manage a territory pipeline from early project planning through customer delivery
  • Review project documentation and coordinate with internal commercial and technical teams
  • Grow existing accounts while driving strategic expansion within the region
  • Execute a consultative, relationship‑driven sales approach
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–4+ years of business development or technical sales experience in civil infrastructure, utilities, underground construction, or related engineered products
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to execute a structured territory growth strategy
  • Comfort reviewing technical information and project documents
  • Highly organized, self‑driven, and comfortable with multi‑state travel
