The Seasonal Retail Clerk supports the retail operations at Nick's Fish House during our busy season. This role is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, operating the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handling cash transactions accurately, maintaining merchandise displays, and assisting with inventory management.

• Greet and assist guests in the retail area in a friendly, professional manner.
• Operate POS system efficiently and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain organized and visually appealing merchandise displays.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and inventory counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail and surrounding areas.
• Answer guest questions about merchandise and promotions.
• Support management with sales tracking and retail reporting as needed.
• Work as part of a team-service approach.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor, embodying Nick's values of Excellence, Teamwork, Respect, and Accountability.

• Minimum 1–2 years of prior retail or sales experience required.
• Experience handling cash and operating a POS system.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory processes.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a guest‑first mindset.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours per shift).
• Lift and carry merchandise or retail supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions such as ringing transactions and organizing displays.
• Navigate a busy restaurant and retail environment.

This position starts at $15.00 per hour.
