Market Manager – Offline Retail, Baltimore, MD (Virtual Location)

Overview

As a Market Manager, you own a territory of offline retail stores, managing the Amazon in‑store experience and merchandising. You serve as the Amazon expert, influencing without authority to drive project deliverables. You will execute in‑store product transitions, manage retailer communications, and collect market insights.

You will also train sales associates and support staff on Amazon Devices & Services, positively impacting the customer experience and indirectly influencing sales and advocacy metrics for your territory. Overnight travel to neighboring markets for store visits, conferences, trainings, and team‐building events may be required.

Market Managers must be able to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends), 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Amazon in‑store experience and merchandising is properly implemented across retailers following established standards.
  • Educate store associates on Amazon, Ring, Blink, and eero devices and services in group settings.
  • Conduct sales and training during large‑scale events based on program or market needs.
  • Manage weekly travel across a large territory of retailers, using sales tools and store profiles to impact sales and brand advocacy.
  • Manage travel and work expenses.
  • Use business acumen to identify trends, drive root‑cause analyses, and resolve store‑operations issues.
  • Collect business and market insights from consumers and store associates to influence product, feature, and channel marketing decisions.
  • Develop professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Regional Managers, General Managers, etc.).
  • Drive KPIs to sales through the offline retail channel.
  • Achieve goals in advocacy, compliance, metrics, training, coverage, team, and organization.
  • Complete daily in‑store reports documenting visits, including submitting digital photos.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Amazon, Ring, Blink, and eero display devices and fixtures in various national retail stores.
  • Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results, executing SOPs, identifying improvements, implementing solutions, and providing feedback to store managers, regional leaders, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Invent, simplify, and share best practices.
  • Manage in‑store product transitions and retailer communications.
  • Provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to stakeholders with national impact.
Day in the Life

Market Managers heavily rely on influence without authority to drive project deliverables, improve brand advocacy, and enhance the customer experience at retail stores. They foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the market and district level, serve as product experts for Amazon, Ring, eero, and Blink, and facilitate group training events for sales associates.

Team

The Amazon Offline Sales & Marketing team sells Amazon devices into physical retailers across the United States and Canada. Market Managers lead sales and marketing initiatives for Amazon and its branded products in retail locations, focusing on in‑store experience, relationship building, training, and promotion of Amazon brands.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of retail experience
  • 2+ years of retail sales experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Valid and active driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation for travel between work sites during the workday
  • Residency in the greater Baltimore area
  • Mobile phone compatible with iOS or Android operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences
  • Excellent English‑language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in retail sales (preferably consumer electronics or high‑tech products)
  • Experience managing multiple retail accounts/locations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
