OverviewRoss Stores, Inc. is a leading off‑price retailer with over 2,200 stores. As a Retail Associate, you help create a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining store appearance, and providing excellent service.
General PurposeThe Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, maintaining cleanliness, presenting merchandise, and supporting store operations as directed.
Essential Functions- Practice safety in all tasks and report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and store areas.
- Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and friendly conversation.
- Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and handle transactions.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve issues courteously.
- Represent and support the Ross brand throughout the store.
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies.
- Complete daily restocking, merchandising, and presentation tasks to standards.
- Follow loss‑prevention, mark‑out‑of‑stock, and cash handling policies.
- Demonstrate integrity and protect confidential information.
- Work efficiently to meet store productivity goals.

- Basic mathematical calculation skills for retail transactions.
- Use store equipment (PDTs, registers, PC).
- Spend up to 100% of work time standing, walking, and moving.
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Occasionally push, pull, or lift more than 25 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment and ladders as needed.
- Stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds.
