GIANT FOOD IS NOW HIRING ASSET PROTECTION ASSOCIATES FOR OUR STORES THROUGHOUT WASHINGTON, DC AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

Asset Protection Associates are responsible for protecting the company's retail store assets by investigating losses of merchandise, money, and property. This role involves preventing loss and shrink within assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance, and other loss prevention tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues in stores within the area of responsibility.
• Conduct daily store tours to identify deficiencies and execute corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce merchandise losses.
• Review shrink reduction strategies during store visits and follow up on areas such as rotation and backroom organization.
• Analyze shrink reports and react to issues and opportunities in assigned stores.

• Assist in implementing and communicating safety and security policies and training programs.
• Ensure a secure shopping environment and store safety from theft.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid driver’s license and transportation, as travel between stores is required.
• Up to one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to relevant jurisdictions.
• Maintain confidentiality of investigation information.
• Basic skills in MS Office.
