The Shen Lab in the Computer-Aided Drug Design Center at University of Maryland School of Pharmacy develops and applies molecular simulation and data science tools to innovate drug and materials discovery.
We are looking for an outstanding postdoc fellow for a joint project with a US government agency to understand and predict opioid-receptor interactions. The position is annually renewable upon satisfactory progress.
Requirement- A recent PhD in chemistry, physics, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience (e.g., first-authored publications) in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and machine learning
- Knowledge of MD sampling techniques; free energies; kinetics
- At least one organic chemistry course
- Knowledge of GPCRs desired
- US citizenship or J-1 visa
- Some local traveling (DC-Baltimore area) required
~$85,000 annual stipend (commensurate with experience level)
