Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Shock Trauma Operating Room position requiring both circulating and scrub experience, with rotating day shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Position is based in a Shock Trauma OR within a hospital setting,

• Operating room with 9 rooms,

• Rotating shift schedule: 2x8-hour days (07:00-15:30) and 2x12-hour days (07:00-19:30),

• One weekend per month required at minimum, which may include on-call,

• 36 hours of pre-scheduled on-call coverage required per 6-week schedule cycle,

• Holiday coverage required as scheduled,

• Floating required within the specialty and peri-operatively, including pre-op and PACU as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• CNOR certification preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required,

• Both circulating and scrub experience are required - this is a hard stop requirement,

• Strong OR background required; first-time travelers with substantial experience will be considered,

Additional Information

• Role involves providing perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity Shock Trauma OR environment,

• Candidates must be available for all assigned holidays as they fall on the schedule,
