Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac open heart recovery experience.
At least 2 previous travel assignments, with strong Surgical IMC experience.

Experience with high acuity patients is required.

License: RN License

BLS

Critical Care Certification
ACLS

Must-Have:
Experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days post-operative from CABG, valve repairs, and valve replacements.

Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices such as LVADs and patients recovering from heart and lung transplants.
ICU experience for management of high acuity patients.

Description:

This position is in a fast-paced surgical step-down unit.
The unit is composed of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries.
The registered nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients post-surgery.
Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4  facility features 32 beds; 12 are designated for continuous cardiac monitoring, while the remainder are for telemetry and floor-level care.
Applicants should have strong skills in handling patients with varying levels of care needs.
