Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with open heart surgery experience and scrubbing ability for a cardiovascular OR travel assignment requiring weekend call coverage.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting,

• Procedures include open heart surgery, CABG, TAVR, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, thoracic procedures (lobe resection, thoracotomy, VATS), and vascular procedures (AAA repair, AV fistula repair, carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty/stenting, femoral popliteal bypass graft),

• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM,

• Weekend call required: 4 shifts per 6-week schedule,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - MD state license or Compact license required,

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required,

• Open heart surgery OR experience required,

• Must be able to scrub cardiovascular surgery cases,

• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Candidates who were previously employed at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being considered,

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted,

• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be disclosed upfront,

• Compliance modules are completed prior to start and potentially during orientation; all assigned modules must be completed within one week of contract signing,

• Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing,
