Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with open heart surgery experience and scrubbing capability for a cardiovascular OR travel assignment.

Job Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR),

• Cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patient population including open heart procedures,

• Procedures include CABG, TAVR, MAZE, mitral valve replacement, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, thoracic surgeries (lobectomy, thoracotomy, VATS), and vascular procedures (AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral popliteal bypass, AV fistula repair),

• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM,

• Weekend call required: 4 call shifts per 6-week schedule,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - MD state license or Compact RN license required,

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required,

• Open heart surgery OR experience required,

• Must be able to scrub cardiovascular surgery cases,

• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,

• Driver's license required for consideration,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Candidates who were previously employed at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being eligible,

• Local candidates residing within 60 miles are accepted at a different rate,

• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be declared upfront,

• Interviews with the hiring manager are not guaranteed - candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one,
