Location: Sinai Hospital
Schedule: Full-Time | Rotating Shifts
Sinai Hospital seeks a dedicated Physician Assistant for its Neurosurgery and Neurology teams. The PA will provide clinical care, assist with neurocritical procedures, and support in‑patient and emergency department patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care in Neurosurgery and Neurology departments, including in‑patient and ED needs.
- Assist with neurocritical care procedures (craniotomies, spinal surgeries, ICP monitoring, CSF drainage).
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies; maintain documentation compliance for NCCPA and state licensure.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team for patient management.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow‑up.
- Engage in continuous education and training opportunities.
- Baclofen pumps for spasticity management
- Craniotomy/craniectomy and spinal surgeries (discectomy, laminectomy, fusions)
- Deep brain stimulation and spinal cord stimulation
- Endovascular cerebral aneurysm treatment and interventional neuroradiology
- Stroke interventions (chemical and mechanical)
- Ventriculoperitoneal shunt surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery
- Intraoperative monitoring and diagnostic ICP monitoring
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Preferred experience in interventional neurology or neurocritical care.
- Licenses &
Certifications: - Maryland Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA certification
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills for complex neuroprocedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
