RN - MedSurg​/Tele

The High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients requiring attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, special monitoring, or rehabilitation services. This unit supports patients with cardiac conditions and serious complex medical conditions, ensuring a team approach to patient care. The HICU accepts patients 18 years and older and provides 24/7 respiratory care, diagnostics, medical treatment, and rehabilitation.

• Monitor and assess patients in a high-intensity care environment.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide care for patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory assistance and special monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in HICU.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
