Our Registered Nurses in Mother/Baby independently perform clinical care in a family‑centered environment. Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence‑based, high‑quality care to mothers and newborns, with couplet care, and newborn nursery care supported. The RN serves as a resource for other team members. Our 30‑bed, all‑private‑room unit is a part of the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center at Mercy.

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)
• RN license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board
• 1‑2 years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician experience in Women’s and Children’s Services will be considered.
• Healthcare Provider‑Level CPR (BLS) certification, and NRP is required.
