Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic

Outpatient Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) Base Pay Range

$45.00/hr - $48.00/hr

• Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and manage oncologic emergencies.
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, symptom management, and psychosocial care.
• Ensure adherence to facility guidelines and protocols, including mandatory flu vaccination.

• Proficient in IV Therapy/Infusions and chemotherapy administration.
• Ability to manage and care for central lines, PICC lines, and ports.
• Experience in symptom management, including nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, and altered mental status.
• Skilled in handling oncologic emergencies such as ATLS, anaphylaxis, and spinal cord compression.
• Knowledge of medications including antiemetics, antitumor, corticosteroids, and hormonal therapy.
• Experience in care of patients with various types of cancer, including but not limited to breast, lung, and colorectal cancer.
• Proficient in pain management techniques, including IV push narcotic agents and PCA pump management.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is required.
• Travel experience is required.
• Certifications required: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), and ONS/ONCC.
