Evening/Night Shift
ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Flow Coordinator and Shift Supervisor serves as a primary coordinator for managing daily patient throughput, ensuring the effective and efficient care of patients. Primary goals include improving hospital throughput of ED admits, direct admits, surgical admits; increasing inpatient bed utilization; and reducing patient or bed turnaround delays. The role provides overall direction and coordination of throughput throughout the assigned shift, communicates continuously to ensure all hospital units and departments align with the plan and goal of timely patient movement, and facilitates a centralized bed management process to ensure efficient admissions and transfers, optimize occupancy, and avoid service delays.

- Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school is required; a Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
- At least five years of current experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated clinical and leadership ability.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia.
- Current BLS CPR certification required.
Minimum $55.88/hour - Maximum $86.62/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
