Facilitating and coordinating care by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Health System.

The CVPCU is the stepdown unit for postcardiac surgery patients
.

CVPCU is a fast-paced
surgical
stepdown unit
made up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries.

Looking for RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG
, valve repairs and valve replacements, very heavy cardiovascular post-op stepdown.

These clinicians specialize in caring for patients with mechanical circulatory support devices like LVADs, as well as patients recovering from heart and lung transplants.

12 of the 32 beds are available for IMC monitoring and the other 20 are for telemetry or non-monitored levels of care.

13 week assignments, PM available, $65/hr

Must have:

• Current registered nurse license in the state of Maryland, or licensed in a compact state
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of recent open cardiac open-heart experience, at least 2 previous travel assignments; strong IMC experience, EPIC
