Unit 38 (Medicine/Telemetry) Registered Nurse 2, 7:00PM-7:30AM, $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!! at GBMC Health Care

Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients.

• Utilization of Nursing Process
  • Assessment:
    Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis; utilizes physical assessment and interviewing techniques.
  • Planning:
    Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care for patients by incorporating scientific and psychosocial principles; coordinates information from nursing care planning conferences into the plan of care.
  • Implementation:
    Performs clinical nursing skills independently; administers medications, IV therapy and treatments; initiates appropriate emergency procedures; delegates and coordinates duties of ancillary personnel; communicates patient status and plan of care through documentation and verbal communication; teaches patients and families.
  • Patient Care Coordination:
    Manages daily patient assignment, delegates responsibilities, and coordinates activities with other disciplines; plans hospital and post-discharge care with patient and family and health team.
  • Teaching and Quality Improvement:
    Develops and documents patient teaching and discharge planning; participates in education programs and clinical monitoring; identifies issues and takes action or refers as needed.

• Professional Excellence Model:
  May participate in RN 3 activities; may serve as charge RN and monitor productivity/patient flow if competent; may precept new staff.

• Education:
  
  Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Licensures/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse;
  Healthcare Provider CPR biennial;
  Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire.
• Experience:
  
  One-year Registered Nurse experience required.
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in developing nursing plans of care, effective nursing care, and evaluation of outcomes; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities; strong analytical skills; proficient in computer programs; focused on patient experience and service recovery.

Pay Range: $31.25 - $48.02 per hour. Final salary offer based on qualifications, education, experience, and alignment with organizational needs.
