The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical care in the Newborn Nursery on Zayed 8. The NP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age‑appropriate care to both well and ill patients. The NP educates patient families or intervenes in acute or chronic illness. The NP promotes mother/baby couplet care and provides lactation consultation services to all new mothers on Zayed 8.

The Nurse Practitioner practices within the guidelines of the unit department, the institution, and in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner‑ Physician Written Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland.

Shifts: 10 hour day shifts. PRN. Mainly Weekend needs.

• MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP license are required.
• Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family NP in the State of Maryland.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
• The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience (NICU or L&D experience strongly preferred).
• NP work experience preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 71.16/hour - Maximum 71.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
